USPS Takes Precautionary Measures: Adjusts Operations In Blountstown, FL Effective Dec 7, 2018

BLOUNTSTOWN, FL–District Manager David Martin announced today that, in an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety and well-being of postal customers and employees, the Blountstown Post Office Retail, Delivery and P.O. Box services will be temporarily adjusted. This is being implemented to allow for needed repairs to the facility in Blountstown. There is no timeline for when the Blountstown Post Office will reopen, but the Postal Service will continue to provide updates to customers.

Delivery and Package pick services for Blountwtown Post Office have been temporarily relocated to the following alternate location:

  • Clarksville Post Office, 11351 State Rd. 20 W, Clarksville, FL 32430
     Monday – Friday: 9:00am - 1:00pm

In an effort to minimize inconvenience to our customers during this time, the Blountstown Post Office located at 17621 Main St. N, Blountstown, FL 32424, is offering Retail and P.O. Box services via Mobile Retail Unit (MRU), located on the premises in the parking lot. The MRU hours of operation are Mon-Fri 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sat 10:00am to 12:00 pm,

“We sincerely apologize to our customers for any inconvenience they may experience. I want to offer my assurance that we will work as quickly as possible to reopen the Blountstown, FL, as soon as we can safely do so,” said Martin.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
