Spring/Summer FY 12 Philatelic Products for Sale in Retail

In late April 2012, participating Post Office™ locations will receive shipments of three new philatelic products to merchandise and sell during the Spring/Summer Fiscal Year (FY) 12 philatelic product drive period, along with other philatelic products already on display. Upon receipt, all offices must assign these products as part of their Retail Floor Stock in POS ONE so that the Inventory Replenish­ment System (IRS) can detect and monitor products as they are sold. Failure to do so will trigger unwanted product replenishment. The following philatelic products should be displayed on the designated Featured Items slatwall section in partici­pating postal lobbies during the Spring/Summer FY 12 drive period:

Initial supplies of the 2011 Stamp Yearbook and The Postal Service Guide to U.S Stamps, 38th Edition were shipped separately at the beginning of the fiscal year. Offices that did not receive automatic shipments of the books can order them from the appropriate Stamp Distri­bution Center (SDC). The yearbooks and guides should remain on display throughout FY 12.

Note: Philatelic products removed from display, particu­larly the 2010 Stamp Yearbook, may still be sold in retail until they are officially withdrawn from sale as announced in periodic Postal Bulletin Philately articles. Only after such products are officially withdrawn from sale may they be returned to the appropriate SDC for destruction.
