ASM Revision: Environmental Compliance Program

Effective February 16, 2017, the Postal Service is revising the Administrative Support Manual (ASM) to update policies related to Fleet Management responsibilities, the role of the corporate-wide information system [Environmental Tool Kit (ETK)], and the distribution of environmental records.

a. Maintains the reports and records required by environmental regulations.

b. Ensures that the reports, records, and other environmental compliance documents are distributed to the appropriate installation heads and internal stakeholders, including the Corporate Sustainability Office. Copies must be retained in the Facilities Department’s project records and the corporate-wide environmental information system.

c. Obtains necessary permits and approvals required by environmental regulations.
