Effective April 17, 2011, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to reflect price changes for the First-Class Mail International® mailing products noted in this article.
The overall price increase for First-Class Mail International products will be approximately 5.1 percent. More specifically, letter-size pieces will increase by 1.9 percent, flat-size pieces will increase by 4.0 percent, package-size pieces will increase by 7.8 percent, and postcards will increase by 1.0 percent.
Also, the price structure for postcards will include only two price categories: one category for Canada and Mexico, which will be priced at $0.80 (previously, Canada and Mexico were priced separately, at $0.75 and $0.79 respectively), and another category for all other countries, which will remain at the current price of $0.98.
