Hope, AR — The U.S. Postal Service recently named 12-year-veteran Jim Stockton as the new Hope AR Postmaster.
“I believe that our customers are our greatest assets and should know that we are here to provide the absolute best possible service available – bar none,” Stockton said.
Stockton began his career as a City Carrier in Prescott, AR for two years before being promoted to Supervisor of Customer Service in Hope. Next he was appointed as Postmaster of Hope, AR.
Stockton also had detail assignments including Officer in Charge at the Prescott, Arkadelphia and Nashville, AR offices.
He is a native of Prescott, AR and married to Misty Stockton. They have two children: Dalton and Curtis.
Stockton advises Postal customers to consider using premium services such as Priority Mail Express and or Priority Mail when mailing packages. The first is a guaranteed overnight service with and $100 dollar insurance included. The second includes scheduled delivery – 1-day, 2-day or 3- based on the origin and destination of the package, improved tracking and will include $50 or $100 of insurance coverage depending on the payment method. Both offer free packaging.
The Hope Post Office at 121 S Laurel St is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 pm.
