Compton Post Office Suspended Due to Fire

COMPTON, AR — Over the weekend, the Compton Post Office, 1 W Main St., Compton, AR 72624, sustained severe damage from a fire and until further notice operations will be suspended at this location.  Mail will be temporarily forwarded to the nearby Harrison Post Office.

Starting today, May 29, 2018, Compton Post Office customers may pick up their P.O. Box mail, with ZIP Code 72624, during normal business hours at the Harrison Post Office, 215 W Industrial Park Rd., Harrison, AR 72601. Harrison Post Office hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 9 to 11 a.m., and closed Sunday.  A government issued photo ID will be required to pick up your mail.  Residential and business mail delivery services will not be affected.

The Postal Service regrets any inconvenience to its customers and will work to restore operations for this office as soon as possible.  Customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS or go to the Postal Service’s Website www.usps.com to get the location of other nearby Post Offices and approved postal retail service providers.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
