PARTHENON, AR — The Parthenon Post Office, located at 100 Highway 327 Parthenon, AR 72666, will resume full operations on Tuesday October 9, 2018. Post Office operations were suspended on March 7, 2017, following a tornado that destroyed the building. Since then, the office has remained suspended until a replacement building could be completed and customers have had to pick up their mail at the nearby Jasper Post Office.
“The Postal Service regrets any inconvenience to our customers as a result of this incident and sincerely appreciates our customers’ patience and understanding during the repair process,” said Jasper Postmaster Mike Black, who serves as administrator for the Parthenon office.
Black said Parthenon Post Office customers are welcome to stop by Tuesday (Oct. 9), between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., when the office officially reopens for business. P.O Box mail service to this location will resume on Tuesday and customers will need to pick up their new P.O. Box keys when the office is open for business.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
