Eureka Springs Post Office 100 years

EUREKA SPRINGS, AR — Postmaster Todd Britt is pleased to announce a celebration for 100 years of service by the Eureka Springs Post Office building, located at .101 Spring St. The celebration begins with a program at the Post Office, starting at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 19, followed with refreshments.  Everyone is cordially invited to attend. The Eureka Springs Post Office will offer a Special Pictorial Postmark Cancellation honoring the office’s 100 years of service in its present location.

People attending the celebration may obtain stamps and the pictorial cancellation at the event.

Those who cannot be there that day but who wish to obtain the special pictorial postmark may submit a mail order request to:

Pictorial postmarks are available only for the date indicated, and requests must be postmarked by Dec. 19, 2018 -- no later than 60 days following the requested pictorial postmark date, October 19, 2018.

All requests must include a stamped envelope or postcard bearing at least the minimum First-Class Mail® postage.

Items submitted for postmark may not include postage issued after the date of the requested postmark.  Such items will be returned unserviced.

Customers wishing to obtain a postmark should affix stamps to any envelope or postcard of their choice, address the envelope or postcard to themselves or others, insert a card of postcard thickness in envelopes for sturdiness, and tuck in the flap. Place the envelope or postcard in a larger envelope and address listed above.

Customers can also send stamped envelopes and postcards without addresses for postmark, as long as they supply a larger envelope with adequate postage and their return address. After applying the pictorial postmark, the Postal Service will return the items (with or without addresses) under addressed protective cover.
