The United States Postal Service invites small businesses to attend free “Grow Your Business Day” workshops that will introduce entrepreneurs and proprietors to two new services that help them to promote their businesses using direct mail.

The new Direct Mail Hub™ from the U.S. Postal Service® is a simpler way to promote a business with direct mail. Whether one chooses to do-it-yourself or connect with a professional, the Direct Mail Hub™ is the online portal to manage their entire direct mail marketing campaign from start to finish.

Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) service is the very popular United States Postal Service initiative that makes growing your business with the mail more efficient and affordable, without the cost of mailing lists or permits.  EDDM features an intuitive online tool that helps marketers target every mailbox in a geographic area.

In these one-hour presentations, postal experts will show how easy it is to select a campaign message, target an audience and prepare direct mail from their desktop.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about direct mail and how it can help you to “Grow Your Business.” Local dates, times and locations are listed below.

For information visit usps.com/everydoordirectmail or uspsdmhub.com/home.aspx. For a complete list of GYBD workshops go to ribbs.usps.gov/simplifiedmail. To RSVP, go to uspssmartbusiness.com. Walk-ins are welcome.

A self-supporting government enterprise, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation, 151 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes. The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations. With 32,000 retail locations and the most frequently visited website in the federal government, usps.com, the Postal Service has annual revenue of more than $65 billion and delivers nearly 40 percent of the world’s mail. If it were a private sector company, the U.S. Postal Service would rank 35th in the 2011 Fortune 500. In 2011, the U.S. Postal Service was ranked number one in overall service performance, out of the top 20 wealthiest nations in the world, Oxford Strategic Consulting. Black Enterprise and Hispanic Business magazines ranked the Postal Service as a leader in workforce diversity. The Postal Service has been named the Most Trusted Government Agency for six years and the sixth Most Trusted Business in the nation by the Ponemon Institute.
