Just in time for the busiest mailing season of the year, a new United States Postal Service Contract Postal Unit (CPU) will hold its Grand Opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at The Outpost, 3685 Highway 68 in Golden Valley, Kingman Post Office officials announced today.
A full line of postal products and services are available at The Outpost, including postage stamps, Express Mail® and Priority Mail® service, International Mail, special services, and much more – all at regular USPS prices.
Acting Kingman Postmaster Duane Whiley and owners of The Outpost will take part in a ribbon cutting event at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend and enter a drawing for door prizes, as well.
The location’s hours of operation provide convenient access to postal services from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The facility is closed on Sundays.
Customers will easily recognize the presence of USPS services at this and other contract unit locations via the exterior and interior signage featuring the USPS Eagle logo, as well as the new retail counter configuration and product display.

A self-supporting government enterprise, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation: 152 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes. The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations. With more than 31,000 retail locations and the most frequently visited website in the federal government, usps.com, the Postal Service has annual revenue of more than $65 billion and delivers nearly 40 percent of the world's mail. If it were a private-sector company, the U.S. Postal Service would rank 42nd in the 2012 Fortune 500. The Postal Service has been named the Most Trusted Government Agency for seven years and the fourth Most Trusted Business in the nation by the Ponemon Institute.
