Customer response to last Sunday’s retail hours at six Phoenix Post Office locations was so positive, the U.S. Postal Service is announcing it will offer special retail hours at four additional Post Office outlets in the Valley of the Sun on the next two Sundays, Dec. 11 & 18.
“It’s our hope these special Sunday hours will make the task of shipping holiday gifts and greetings easier for our customers this holiday season,” said Phoenix Postmaster Humberto Trujillo. “We strongly encourage Valley residents to take advantage of these Sunday hours and get their cards, letters and gifts in the mail on these next two Sundays and avoid the rush that will come on the busiest mailing day of the year, Monday, Dec. 19.”
For the next two Sundays, Dec. 11 & 18, the following 10 Valley Post Office locations will offer special holiday retail hours. All will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., except Mesa’s Main Post Office, which will open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

Knowledgeable USPS employees are available at all these locations to help customers ensure their holiday packages are packed, tracked and delivered with ease. Many locations also offer Self Service Kiosks (SSK), where customers can use a credit or debit card to purchase stamps or mail packages after hours. SSK locations may be looked up by ZIP Code at usps.com.
In addition to holiday Forever Stamps, Post Offices offer Priority Mail supplies and other packing items to provide customers with added convenience. These include bubble mailers, shipping boxes, bubble wrap and packaging tape. Also available are a selection of greeting cards and gift cards, making your Post Office a one-stop shop for holiday gift giving.
A reminder that stamps and packaging supplies are available via your computer 24/7 at www.usps.com – where customers can also use their credit or debit card to purchase mailing labels for packages and then arrange for free carrier pickup of those items the next business day.
The U.S. Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
