The Phoenix Post Office is offering special weekend retail hours at six locations beginning this Sunday, Nov. 26, to help make customers’ holiday shipping tasks a bit more convenient, Postmaster Humberto Trujillo announced today.
For the next four Sundays – Nov. 26, and Dec. 3, 10, and 17 – the following six Phoenix Post Office locations will offer special holiday retail hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
- Phoenix Main Post Office 4949 E. Van Buren St. 85008
- Phoenix Ahwatukee 11010 S. 51st St. 85044
- Phoenix Daisy Mountain 44047 N. 43rd Ave. 85087
- Phoenix Northeast 5021 N. 20th St. 85016
- Phoenix Sierra Adobe 1902 W. Union Hills Dr. 85027
- Phoenix Washington 8155 N. Black Canyon Hwy. 85021
Phoenix’s Main Post Office will also be open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the rest of the locations above will also offer extended Saturday hours, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for the next four weekends, Trujillo said.
In addition, the USPS Contract Postal Unit inside J.D.’s Hallmark Shop at 4225 W. Thunderbird Rd., Phoenix AZ 85053, will offer postage and stamps at regular USPS pricing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on those same four Sundays, in addition to the unit’s regular hours.
Along with holiday Forever Stamps, Post Office locations offer Priority Mail supplies and other packing items to provide customers with added convenience. These include bubble mailers, shipping boxes, bubble wrap and packaging tape. Also available are a selection of greeting cards and gift cards, making your Post Office a one-stop shop for holiday gift giving.
A reminder that stamps and packaging supplies are available via your computer 24/7 at www.usps.com – where customers can also use their credit or debit card to purchase mailing labels for packages and then arrange for free carrier pickup of those items the next business day.
The U.S. Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
