MEADOW VISTA, CA—Robert Namanny will be sworn in as the new Meadow Vista Postmaster on Thursday, September 24, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the Meadow Vista Post Office, 16930 Placer Hills Road, 95722. The public is invited as Post Office Operations Manager Jim McBroom administers the oath of office.

He served as Postmaster in Somerset and Penryn, CA, and held a number of officer-in-charge positions in Hanksville, UT, Cool, CA, and Meadow Vista.
“Being a Postmaster is a high honor,” said Namanny. “Like being a member of the military or Congress, Postmasters are sworn to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. It is my goal to provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to all my customers.”
Namanny, and his wife, Patricia, have six children, Mark, Andrew, Duncan, Scott, Sean and Steven. They reside in Auburn. Namanny has a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He served in the Air Force and graduated from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey. He and his wife operate a Board and Care Facility for the elderly in Auburn. As a community volunteer, he has served in his church as a youth teacher and as choir director. For 10 years, he was a member of a musical group called “Bravo,” that gave concerts in Auburn, best known for their 4th of July Clock Tower Concerts.
