HEALDSBURG, Calif. — The U.S. Postal Service Vice President of Facilities approved the proposal to make the 160 Foss Creek Circle facility the permanent location of the Healdsburg Main Post Office effective immediately.
The Healdsburg downtown Post Office was destroyed in a fire on August 14, 2010 and retail and P.O. Box services were relocated to the Foss Creek Circle facility. Postal officials met with members of the Healdsburg city government, conducted a survey of the community and held a public meeting outlining the proposal to make the move to Foss Creek Circle permanent. Following the public input period the proposal was forwarded to Washington DC for a final decision, which was issued on February 23, 2011.
As provided in CFR 39 241.4, members of the Healdsburg community have until March 16, 2011 to appeal this decision. As appropriate, any appeal should be directed to Vice President, Facilities, and addressed as follows:
