SAN PEDRO, CA — The U.S. Postal Service will hold a “Grow Your Business” open house at the San Pedro Post Office, 839 S. Beacon St., on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Postal representatives will be on hand to provide information on topics that will meet business needs and help reach new customers, such as Commercial Base shipping pricing, new eco-friendly Flat Rate packaging, easy online postage options and new Direct Mail programs.
The Postal Service recently opened up a whole new way for businesses to contact local markets quickly, easily, and cost-effectively. Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) offers an unparalleled reach for businesses that plan to mail 5,000 or fewer flat-sized mail pieces within an area serviced by a single Post Office.
EDDM is perfect for businesses that have not tried Direct Mail and want to prove its effectiveness. Now the “butcher, baker and real estate broker” can reach every mailbox and get complete coverage to any designated delivery route with a simplified address of “Postal Customer.”
Businesses just need to register to utilize EDDM — there is no need to pay a permit fee or purchase a mailing list. Visit USPS.com/everydoordirectmail for more information.
For more details on EDDM and other programs that can benefit virtually any business and help reach customers, plan to stop by the open house at the San Pedro Post Office on June 29.
