LOMPOC, CA ― The U.S. Postal Service is making it easier for Lompoc residents and businesses to take care of mailing and shipping needs with a new Contract Postal Unit (CPU) now open inside the Village Market, 3734 Constellation Road, Lompoc, CA 93436
This convenient location provides full-value service six days a week: Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A CPU offers postage stamps and Postal Service products and services at the same price one would pay at a regular U.S. Post Office. There is never an extra service fee at a CPU.
A community grand opening celebration with a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, July 20, at 11:00 a.m. with refreshments served until 2:00 p.m.
Customers can ship Express Mail and Priority Mail packages, purchase Insurance and Delivery Confirmation, mail Certified letters with Return Receipts, and, of course, buy the latest stamps and drop off mail ― almost anything that can be done at a Post Office can be done at a CPU, and for the same low price.
The Postal Service is expanding convenient access to postal products and services when and where our customers want them. Many local grocery stores, pharmacies, bank ATMs and office supply stores sell postage stamps — the top transaction at Post Offices. Customers only need to visit the Postal Service’s newest website, uspseverywhere.com, and enter a ZIP Code to find all USPS and Approved Postal Provider locations on an interactive map.
There is also a Post Office ready to provide service 24/7 in any computer with Internet access — at usps.com. Look up ZIP Codes, buy stamps, print package labels and download postage, schedule a free package pickup ― even arrange to have mail held when away! Do it all online without ever leaving home or office, any time of the day or night.
