Postal Service Plans Consolidation of Bryn Mawr Post Office

Consolidation With Loma Linda Post Office Effective October 28

SAN BERNARDINO — Continuing with a nationwide effort to increase efficiencies and reduce costs, the U.S. Postal Service today announced the consolidation of the Bryn Mawr Post Office, 26065 Newport Avenue, Bryn Mawr CA 92318 with the Loma Linda Post Office located at 25925 Barton Rd. The last day for retail services at the Bryn Mawr Post Office will be October 28, 2011.

“In light of historic declines in mail volume and changing customer mailing preferences, the Postal Service is looking at every aspect of our business to reduce over-capacity in retail and delivery operations while maintaining record service levels. Every effort is being made to improve and expand access to postal services at locations that are most convenient to our customers,” said Dallas W. Keck, San Diego District Manager.

The following Postal Service facilities are located less than four miles of the Bryn Mawr Post Office and are available for retail services:

  • San Bernardino Retail, 1900 W. Redlands, San Bernardino CA 92403
  • Redlands Post Office, 201 Brookside Ave., Redlands CA 92373
  • Lugonia Station, 404 New York St., Redlands CA 92373

Customers can find many locations nearby to purchase postal services by visiting an interactive map at www.uspseverywhere.com and simply typing in a ZIP Code. Using the simple icon guide designating stamps, shipping and packaging, PO Boxes and other services, customers can easily navigate to retail outlets, grocery stores, Automated Postal Center kiosks and Post Offices, among other options.

There are three Approved Postal Provider locations within two miles of the Bryn Mawr Post Office that offer stamps, and mailing and shipping services.
