Daniel Mesa Named Postmaster of Loma Linda

LOMA LINDA – The U.S. Postal Service has named Daniel Mesa as the new postmaster of Loma Linda, CA. Mesa becomes the 12th postmaster of the Loma Linda Post Office which was established in 1901.

“I am proud to work for the United States Postal Service,” Mesa said. “I hope my pride is exemplified in my employees and this, in turn, will benefit our community and customers.”

Mesa began his career in 1977at the La Puente Post Office where he worked as a letter carrier. Before being appointed postmaster, Mesa held several customer service positions in the San Diego District including supervisor customer services in Loma Linda and Redlands, and acting manager customer service at the Del Rosa Station in San Bernardino.

In his spare time, Mesa said he enjoys spending time with family and traveling. He has two daughters, three sons, and seven grandchildren. Mesa spent two years in the U.S. Air Force then joined the California Air National Guard before retiring after 21 years of military service.

Mesa is responsible for 8,954 deliveries, covering the cities of Loma Linda and Bryn Mawr. With 24 employees he services 14 carrier routes and 1,408 Post Office boxes.
