Postal Service Plans Consolidation of Quail Valley Post Office

Consolidation With Sun City Carrier Annex Effective November 12

SUN CITY — Continuing with a nationwide effort to increase efficiencies and reduce costs, the U.S. Postal Service today announced the consolidation of the Quail Valley Post Office, 23940 Norma Drive, Quail Valley CA 93587 with the Sun City Carrier Annex located at 29700 Haun Road, Sun City CA 92586. The last day for retail services at the Quail Valley Post Office will be November 10, 2011.

“In light of historic declines in mail volume and changing customer mailing preferences, the Postal Service is looking at every aspect of our business to reduce over-capacity in retail and delivery operations while maintaining record service levels. Every effort is being made to improve and expand access to postal services at locations that are most convenient to our customers,” said Dallas W. Keck, San Diego District Manager.

The following Postal Service facilities are located less than ten miles of the Quail Valley Post Office and are available for retail services:

  • Sun City Carrier Annex, 29700 Haun Rd., Sun City CA 92586
  • Sun City Main Post Office, 26822 Cherry Hill Blvd., Sun City CA 92586
  • Perris Post Office, 778 S. Redlands Ave., Perris CA 92570
  • Romoland Post Office, 28480 US Highway 74 Ste C, Sun City CA 92585

There are six Approved Postal Provider locations within six miles of the Quail Valley Post Office that offer stamps, and mailing and shipping services.

Nearly 35 percent of the Postal Service retail revenue comes from expanded access locations such as Costco, Office Depot, grocery stores, drug stores, APC, ATMs and usps.com, open 24/7.
