The U.S. Postal Service is Hiring Postal Support Employees

SANTA BARBARA, CA — The U.S. Postal Service announced it has challenging employment opportunities in the Santa Barbara area for temporary employment. These Postal Support Employee (PSE) positions are in a mail processing facility and offer limited benefits including paid vacation and health benefits after the first 360-day term. The salary range is between $12.00 and $14.60 an hour.

Applicants must be age 18 or older at the time of hire (or age 16 with a high school diploma) and be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status. Testing is required for all positions. Qualified applicants must also successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening to meet the Postal Service’s requirement of a drug-free environment. Qualified applicants must live within the metropolitan area (i.e. commute distance) of the vacancy office and will be required to attend an interview and prescreen activities in the facility location, vicinity, or district office.

All applicants must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting, carrying, prolonged standing and walking for eight hours or more. We are hiring for both evening and midnight shifts.
