San Jose Post Office carriers deliver cheer on Christmas Day

Express Mail Santas deliver packages in ‘Nick’ of time

December 21, 2011

“Twas the day of Christmas, houses filled with holiday cheer. Children on the look out for Santa’s reindeer. Behold to their surprise he did appear, delivering Express Mail in postal gear.”

SAN JOSE, CA - You won’t hear their steps on the rooftop nor see them drop down the chimney, but their knock on the door will fill the house with cheer on Christmas morning. Letter carriers, serving as Santa’s helpers, will dash like ‘Comet and Blitzen’ to make their appointed rounds on Christmas Day. As in Christmas’ past, volunteers in postal blue, including one dressed in full Santa attire, will be helping the “jolly ole’ guy” make those last-minute deliveries in the ‘Nick’ of time.

Operating out of the Robertsville Station (address), starting at 9AM, Sunday, December 25, 10 letter carriers will be loading their postal sleighs with Express Mail for San Jose city deliveries. Letter carriers will sort and deliver every piece of Express Mail to every house until nothing is left stirring at the Post Office, not even a mouse.
