ANAHEIM, CA — The U.S. Postal Service will join the celebration of the grand reopening of Disney California Adventure Park and its newest attractions on Friday, June 15, 2012. The opening of Cars Land and its new Radiator Springs Racers ride will be commemorated with the issuance of a Radiator Springs Grand Opening special pictorial postmark.

The Postal Service will be set up in California Adventure Park on June 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., in Paradise Park, applying the collectible postmark to any envelope bearing postage and selling the recently-issued Send a Smile Forever stamps and last year’s Send a Hello Forever stamps, both of which feature animation characters from famous Disney-Pixar films. Related philatelic merchandise will also be available.

The Anaheim Post Office, 701 N. Loara St., will also offer the collectible postmark on June 15, and for 30 days afterwards. The postmark can be requested by mail — affix proper postage to cards, envelopes or paper items of choice, include mail-back address and place in larger envelope addressed to:

Radiator Springs Grand Opening Postmark
c/o Postmaster
701 N. Loara St.
Anaheim CA 92803-9998

After applying the special postmark, the Postal Service will return items by mail. There is no charge for the postmarking. All orders must be received by July 15, 2012.
