TRES PINOS, CA — Diana Terry will follow a proud tradition dating back to 1871 when William F. Dalzel was appointed Tres Pinos Postmaster. On Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 10 a.m., Terry will raise her right hand to take the official oath of office at the Tres Pinos Post Office, 21 E 4TH Street, Tres Pinos, CA 95075. The oath of office will be administered by Manager Post Office Operations Darrell Stoke.
Terry began her U.S. Postal Service career as a postmaster relief in 1988 in the San Jose District. She was promoted in 1993 as Paicines Postmaster, the position she held prior to being selected as the Tres Pinos Postmaster.
“As the Postmaster of Tres Pinos, I want to have a clean, safe and welcoming Post Office for the employees and the community,” said Terry. “I will continue to provide excellent customer service.”
Terry resides in Hollister with her husband, Phil Terry, and they have three sons, Jason, 41, Richard Jr., 39, and Ryan, 33. She enjoys reading, crocheting, and walking.
As Tres Pinos Postmaster, Terry oversees one employee who processes and delivers daily mail volume of more than 11,787 pieces of mail to 273 delivery points (addresses), one highway contract route, and 611 Post Office boxes, six days a week.
