ARNOLD, CALinda Baker will follow a proud tradition dating back to 1934 when Bernice Arnold was appointed the first Arnold Postmaster. On Friday, March 29, 2013, 2:30 p.m., Baker will raise her right hand to take the official oath of office at the Arnold Post Office, 997 Blagen Road Arnold, CA 95223. Baker began her postal career as a part time flexible clerk in 2004 in the Sacramento District. She was selected to her first management position in 2007 as Postmaster Avery, CA. In 2012, she served as the Officer-in-Charge of the Arnold Post Office, the position she held prior to being selected as the Arnold Postmaster.

“As the Postmaster of Arnold, it is an honor to be working in an office that is focused and determined to do the best job for this community,” said Baker.  “Customer Service is the highest priority, and I personally want to make the Post Office the center of commerce in the Arnold community by providing the best service and support for all businesses and individuals that reside in this area.“

Baker, 63, has one daughter, Jennifer, 42.  Baker resides in Hathaway Pines with husband, John. She enjoys music, football (Notre Dame & Raiders), camping and her dogs.

As Arnold Postmaster, Baker oversees four employees who process and deliver a daily mail volume of more than 6,000 pieces to 1,850 Post Office boxes, six days a week.
