VALLEJO, CA — A public meeting, co-hosted by the City of Vallejo, will be held to explain the proposed relocation plans of the Vallejo Post Office and hear comments from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013, in the Joseph Room at the John F. Kennedy Library, located on 505 Santa Clara Street, Vallejo.

The proposed relocation of the Vallejo Post Office, located at 485 Santa Clara Street, is in conjunction with the City of Vallejo for the redevelopment of the downtown area. The USPS and the City of Vallejo will provide information on the redevelopment plans and the possible relocation of the Post Office.

If the move is approved, the ZIP Code will remain the same, and the goal is to retain all PO Box Numbers.  Post Office Box customers who use the optional street address format under Enhanced PO Box Service would have to change to using the address of the new location.

The USPS welcomes customer input on the proposed relocation plans.

Written comments are also being accepted until October 12, 2013. Please submit written comments to:
