Postal Service Announces Local Job Openings in Greater Los Angeles Area

LOS ANGELES, CA — The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has immediate job openings for career and non-career positions at many locations nationwide. In the greater Los Angeles area, current available positions include Automotive Technician, Casual Mail Handler, City Carrier Assistant, Mail Handler Assistant, Postal Support Employee, Rural Carrier Associate, and Tractor Trailer Operator.

Postal Service representatives will be available to provide more information and answer questions about these job openings at these local job fairs:

Oct. 24, 2013 – 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Honor-a-Hero Veteran Hire Event, Airtel Plaza Hotel & Conference Center, 7277 Valjean Ave., Van Nuys CA 91406

Oct. 29, 2013 – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Pierce College Fall Job Fair, 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills CA 91371

Nov. 8, 2013 – 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.  GAIN Job Fair, 3307 N. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank CA 91504

Each vacancy posting has specific job details; some positions may be temporary. Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma. Applicants must be able to pass drug screening, criminal background and any other applicable Postal Service test.
