MODESTO, CA — Customers in Stanislaus County will soon have two additional locations to purchase U.S. Postal Service Forever stamps and prepaid Priority Mail envelopes. Doll’s Sign Depot in Modesto and One Stop Market in Patterson are two of the newest businesses to include Village Post Office (VPO) to their list of services.
Both VPOs will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 6, 2014. Doll’s Sign Depot at 3420 Oakdale Road, Modesto CA 95355, will have a 3:30 p.m. ceremony. One Stop Market at 10143 Grayson Road, Patterson CA 95363, will have their ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Both businesses welcome their customers to the ceremonies.
Doll’s Sign Depot is a “destination stop” for copying, printing and mailing. Owner Jerry Doll’s business has been in the same location for 30 years, and Doll has lived and worked in the Modesto community for the past 42 years. He is very active with the “Model A Club” and the Catholic Professional and Business Group. Doll looks at his partnership with the Postal Service as an additional service for his customers in Modesto and the surrounding communities. The Modesto VPO will offer stamps, prepaid flat rate Priority Mail envelopes and packaging. They will offer these services Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
One Stop Market in Patterson is centrally located in the Modesto metropolitan area that leads to many attractions in central California and is frequented by vacationers and locals alike. The One Stop Market has always been the perfect stop for gas and snacks. Now, it will also be the perfect stop to buy stamps, mail postcards and packages.
Village Post Offices are usually located in established businesses, giving them the added retail advantage of providing customers convenient access to the U.S. Postal Service products and services used most often by consumers.

A self-supporting government enterprise, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation: 152 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes. The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations. With more than 31,000 retail locations and the most frequently visited website in the federal government, usps.com, the Postal Service has annual revenue of more than $65 billion and delivers nearly 40 percent of the world's mail. If it were a private-sector company, the U.S. Postal Service would rank 42nd in the 2012 Fortune 500. The Postal Service has been named the Most Trusted Government Agency for seven years and the fourth Most Trusted Business in the nation by the Ponemon Institute.
