PACIFIC PALISADES, CA ― The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has approved the relocation of the Pacific Palisades Post Office, 15209 W. Sunset Boulevard, to the Pacific Palisades Carrier Annex (the former Pacific Palisades Post Office) located at 15243 La Cruz Drive. The two facilities are about 125 yards apart.

There will be no change to Pacific Palisades Post Office Box numbers or ZIP Code. An implementation date for the move has not been established at this time.

The decision may be appealed for 30 days. An appeal must be postmarked by May 28, 2014, and mailed to:

Vice President, Facilities
c/o Diana Alvarado
Facilities Implementation
1300 Evans Ave. Ste. 200
San Francisco CA 94188-0200

This cost-reduction plan is part of a nationwide response by the Postal Service to maintain universal service and operate more efficiently in the face of dramatic decreases in mail volume and other economic factors that have caused cumulative net losses of over $40 billion in the past six years.

USPS does not receive tax dollars to cover the costs of its operations or facilities.
