WILLOWS, CA — As the first and oldest city in Glenn County, Willows will celebrate another first with the opening of the Willows Village Post Office (VPO) located at Sani-Food Market, which is owned and operated by the Woo family. A grand opening will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at 517 S. Tehama St., Willows CA 95988.

The Willows VPO will offer postage stamps, prepaid flat rate Priority Mail envelopes and packaging. Sani-Food Market is open daily, 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Matt Woo believes opening a VPO at Sani-food will “serve the community greatly.” Customers can now add forever stamps and services to their grocery shopping list. They will also find a mail collection box to drop off mail.

Sani-Food Market opened in 1947. The current owners, Willie and Gracie Woo, are the second generation of Woo family members to provide the residents of Willows with quality products and customer service. Their son, Matt Woo, and his wife, Tracy Woo, will be the next generation to continue the legacy built by Bowman Woo and William Chun. The Woo family focuses on exceptional customer service and high-quality grocery products. Sani-Food Market has the only full-service meat counter, bakery and deli within the city of Willows. Willie and Gracie Woo have been recognized for their support of the community and their volunteer work.

The city of Willows is a friendly community with the Stony Gorge Reservoir a short drive to the west, the Sacramento Wildlife Refuge to the south and the Thunderhill Racetrack to add some excitement.  Shoppers will enjoy the boutiques, antiques and outdoors stores. With the opening of the Willows VPO, tourists and locals will have another location to buy postage stamps and send Priority Mail packages filled with souvenirs, photos and memories.

VPOs are usually located in established businesses, giving them the added retail advantage of providing customers convenient access to the U.S. Postal Service products and services used most often by consumers.
