SAN DIEGO — Despite the fires that are burning in several communities in San Diego County, letter carriers are continuing to deliver mail wherever it is safe to do so as determined by fire authorities.

For customers of La Costa Station Post Office in Carlsbad (92011) and San Marcos Post Office (92069) who have been affected by the wildfires and are not able to access their homes or businesses due to road closures or fire damage, their mail will be available for pick up with proper photo ID at their respective Post Office.

La Costa Station Post Office, 1700 Aviara Parkway, Carlsbad 92011

San Marcos Post Office, 420 N. Twin Oaks Valley Road, San Marcos 92069

Affected residents can contact USPS Consumer Affairs at 858-674-2670 for local information and assistance with issues concerning their mail.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
