HORNBROOK, CA — Residents and visitors will have another reason to gas up at the Hornbrook Chevron when it adds Village Post Office (VPO) to its list of services.  A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at 114 Copco Road, Hornbrook CA 96044.

Hornbrook is California’s northernmost city on Interstate 5, and Hornbrook Chevron is the only business and fueling station in a 15-20 mile radius. Owner Ranbir Singh is excited to add the Village Post Office to his business and to provide mailing services to the surrounding community. Customers will be able to purchase Forever Stamps, drop off prepaid mail and packages and pick up free Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes and envelopes.

Singh moved to Hornbrook from Clovis, CA, in 2011. He and his wife, two children and brother are proud to call Hornbrook home. Singh sponsors the local schools and equestrian riders.

Barbara J. Plunkett, USPS Sacramento District Manager and Rick Burtzlaff, Redding Postmaster, will join Singh at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

VPOs are usually located in established businesses, giving them the added retail advantage of providing customers convenient access to the U.S. Postal Service products and services used most often by consumers.
