LINCOLN, CA — Sun City Lincoln Hills is located in the city of Lincoln, CA, and is the largest active adult community in California. Residents enjoy the amenities of two golf courses, a recreational center, abundant activities, and now the convenience of a Village Post Office (VPO) at the Lincoln Market. All are invited to a grand opening on Wed., May 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Market, 1510 Del Webb Blvd., Lincoln, CA 95648.
Lincoln’s population has grown almost 300 percent since 2000, making it the fastest growing city in the U.S. The Lincoln Market is the only market in Sun City Lincoln Hills, which makes the opening of a VPO even more convenient for customers.
While maintaining their careers in dentistry and computer technology, Michael Narodovich and Mark Eklund purchased the market over a year ago. The addition of a VPO will “enhance the store’s services and make Flat Rate packaging and stamps readily accessible and convenient for the community,” said the owners. Customers will be able to purchase Forever Stamps, drop off prepaid mail and packages and pick up free Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes and envelopes.
USPS Sacramento District Manager Barbara J. Plunkett and Lincoln Postmaster Tina Hopkins will join Narodovich and Eklund at the May 28 ribbon-cutting ceremony.
VPOs are usually located in established businesses, giving them the added retail advantage of providing customers convenient access to the U.S. Postal Service products and services used most often by consumers.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
