U.S. Postal Service expands passport acceptance service with mega sites in Long Beach and Westchester

Expanded hours and full range of services makes it easy and convenient to apply for a passport

LONG BEACH, CA — The U.S. Postal Service has opened a new Mega Passport Center at the former Long Beach Processing & Distribution Center, located at 3200 Redondo Blvd. in Long Beach.  Also, passport acceptance service at Los Angeles Airport Station, 9091 Airport Blvd. in Westchester, has been expanded into a Mega Passport Center.

These new Mega Passport Centers have additional trained staff and expanded hours to make it easy and convenient to apply for a U.S. passport. There is no appointment required at either location!

Walk-in hours at the Long Beach Mega Passport Center are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  It is closed on Sunday.

Walk-in hours at Airport Station Mega Passport Center are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  It is closed on Sunday.

The Postal Service has the products and services at both locations needed to conveniently submit a passport application. Passport photos can be taken onsite for a $15 fee. Other services for additional fees include document photocopy service and expedited processing with Priority Mail Express delivery of the passport that includes tracking and document reconstruction insurance.  

The U.S. Department of State issued 13.5 million passports and passport cards last year. It’s best to apply for your passport early, at least several months before a planned trip.
