NEWBURY PARK, CA ― Residents in Newbury Park have another convenient option when they need to pick up postage stamps or ship a package. A U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Village Post Office (VPO) has opened in Village Trader Market, 330 Via Las Brisas Suite 110, Newbury Park CA 91320. A grand opening will take place there on Friday, Feb. 6, at 11:00 a.m.

As a VPO, Village Trader Market adds the two most frequently purchased Postal Service products and services ― Forever stamps and Priority Mail Flat Rate products ― to its variety of offerings. Customers can also drop off stamped letters and prepaid mail. This new VPO will conveniently be open every day of the week from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

VPOs are a part of the network of outlets owned and operated by third parties to complement the Postal Service’s own network of retail Post Offices. This network, which includes Contract Postal Units, Approved Shippers and Stamps on Consignment locations, enables USPS to efficiently expand the availability of its products and services at convenient locations that customers already frequent.

“This is good news for our mutual customers,” said USPS Thousand Oaks/Newbury Park Officer-in-Charge Linda Catuogno. "Village Trader Market is offering customers a one-stop shopping experience where they can buy stamps and ship prepaid Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes at a convenient location they already visit.”

There are over 800 Village Post Offices located in a wide variety of businesses across the country.
