BISHOP, CA — Despite the fires that are burning in several areas as a result of the Bishop Round Fire, U.S. Postal Service carriers are continuing to deliver mail wherever it is safe. However, because of evacuations and road closures, many deliveries are unable to be made.
For customers of the Bishop Post Office who have been affected by the wildfires and are not able to access their homes or businesses due to road closures or fire damage, Postmaster Alicia Wendt said their mail is available for pick up with proper photo ID at the Bishop Post Office.
“We are available to assist with various delivery needs but want to assure everyone their mail is secure,” Wendt said.
Hours of operation for the Bishop Post Office, which is located at 595 W. Line Street, are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
