ANDERSON, CA — Now when customers come into the Frontier Feed and Saddlery store they can stock up on Forever Stamps and package services along with their livestock feed supplies.

On Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., customers will be treated to a grand opening ceremony by store owner Genea Peery and U.S. Postal Service officials as the feed store at 5544 Deschutes Road, Anderson, CA 96007, becomes a Village Post Office (VPO), the first ever in Anderson.

Peery is excited to have the first VPO in Anderson and believes providing Forever postage stamps and Priority Mail Flat Rate shipping products will add another needed service for her customers and the entire community. The Frontier Feed and Saddlery VPO enhances the USPS presence in the community, especially where people shop, with hours and days of operation that are convenient for customers.

Customers are able to purchase Forever Stamps, drop off prepaid mail and packages and pick up Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes and envelopes. The convenience for customers is that many VPOs offer expanded business hours, including Sundays and holidays.

VPOs are located within existing communities in a variety of locations, including convenience stores, local businesses and libraries, and are operated by the management of those locations.

Peery will join Anderson Postmaster Scott Wayman and Post Office Operations Manager Tina Hopkins at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
