SAN FRANCISCO — The U.S. Postal Service has recognized Stitch Fix Inc., headquartered in San Francisco, CA, with its Mail Innovation Award for the company’s support of the success of mail and its commitment to a successful business relationship with the Postal Service.
Stitch Fix Inc. was one of 18 companies recognized this year by the Postal Service at the National Postal Forum (NPF) held May 17-20 in Anaheim, CA. For more than 40 years, NPF has been recognized as the premier educational trade show for the mailing industry.
“We are pleased to recognize and honor Stitch Fix for its innovation, creativity and leadership,” said Dean Granholm, vice president, Pacific Area, who nominated Stitch Fix Inc. for the award. “By working closely with the Postal Service to develop strategic business solutions, Stitch Fix has produced winning results, which supports the mailing industry.”
The Mail Innovation Award, presented annually at NPF, recognizes Postal Service customers who have implemented innovative mailing solutions. Winning companies embrace new technologies and implement best practices to improve efficiency and productivity in mail operations. They provide customers with a mail product that delivers increased value, which benefits customers and the mailing industry.
The partnership between Stitch Fix Inc. and the Postal Service has propelled Stitch Fix to the cutting edge of personal styling with its innovative service that helps women on the go look and feel their best. Stitch Fix worked closely with the Postal Service using Priority Mail to be able to guarantee each client fast delivery and reliable service.
Stitch Fix clients simply sign up at www.stitchfix.com, fill out an online style profile to share their size and style preferences and select a date on which they'd like to receive a Fix. A personal stylist selects five items that are personalized to each clients' unique needs, budget and lifestyle, and ships each Fix directly to the client's door with personalized recommendations on how to style each item. Clients have three days to try everything on, get the opinions of family and friends, and then can simply purchase what they want and send back what they don't — free shipping both ways.
Stitch Fix uses Postal Service programs and technology to fine-tune its operations to offer a best-in-class product at the best cost for its customers.
