MISSION HILLS, CA — The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is proposing the relocation of the Mission Hills Station Post Office, 15305 Devonshire St., Mission Hills CA 91345, to a new location as close to the current site as possible.

This relocation is due to the expiration of the lease at the current location and the landlord not renewing the lease because of pending redevelopment. The landlord is allowing USPS to remain open at this location on a month-to-month basis until it relocates.

The Postal Service has tentatively identified one potential relocation site as the USPS San Fernando - Mission City Delivery Unit at 10919 Sepulveda Blvd., San Fernando CA 91345. This facility is less than one mile from the current location and presently does not offer public retail services.

Public input on the relocation is welcome. A public meeting will be held to explain plans and hear comments at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at the LA Police Department Mission Division Community Room, located at 11121 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills CA 91345.

Written comments are also being accepted until August 21, 2015. Please submit written comments to:

Dean Cameron
Implementation Real Estate Specialist
U.S. Postal Service
1300 Evans Ave. Ste. 200
San Francisco CA 94188-8200

After the written comment period closes, USPS will consider all comments and appeals received at the meeting and by mail and make a final decision.

USPS does not receive tax dollars for its operations or facilities, but covers costs solely through the revenue received from the sale of its products and services.
