RICHMOND, CA – Now, when customers shop for food or to send money grams, they can now purchase postage and postal products at the Super Save Services.
On Tuesday, July 14, at 10 :00 AM, customers will be treated to a grand opening ceremony by store owner Cali Warfa and postal officials as the Super Save Services at 1170 23rd Street, Richmond, CA 94804, becomes a Village Post Office (VPO).
Warfa opened up his business, Super Save Services five years ago. When he heard about the Village Post Office concept, he felt it would be a perfect fit for his store. “Public service is most important to us, without it, the community will suffer. I come from Ethiopia, a country that has no customer service, so being able to provide that to my customers means a lot,” said Warfa.
Customers are able to purchase Forever Stamps, drop off prepaid mail and packages and pick up Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes and envelopes. The convenience for customers is that many VPOs offer expanded business hours, including Sundays and holidays. Super Save Services is open 7 days a week from 8 :00 AM to 10 :00 PM.
Village Post Offices are normally located in non-Postal Service establishments – such as an existing community business, grocery stores and gas stations – and are run by someone other than an employee of the Postal Service.
