LA HABRA, CA ― The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is considering relocating operations from the La Habra Post Office located at 200 N Euclid Street, La Habra CA 90631, to a yet-to-be determined location as close as possible to the current site.
This move is being considered because the City of La Habra has plans to redevelop the current site USPS leases. USPS will be allowed to remain at this present location until a new space within La Habra is located and ready for occupancy.
One potential site has already been identified: 120 E. La Habra Blvd., which is one-tenth of a mile from the current site and also owned by the City.
In undertaking this project, USPS will complete a process set forth in Title 39 Code of Federal Regulations 241.4 to gather community input from residents and elected officials.
The Postal Service will hold a public meeting regarding this project on Jan. 13, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., at the La Habra Community Center, Valle Verde Room, 101 W. La Habra Blvd., La Habra, CA. At this meeting USPS will discuss the reasons for relocation, identify the area to which it wishes to relocate and describe the anticipated size required for the new location. USPS will also answer questions and receive comments and feedback.
Written comments will also be accepted until Feb. 13, 2016. Please submit comments to the address below for consideration prior to a final decision.
