Background:

The Sunset Mart VPO provides a range of popular Postal Service products and services, including First-Class Mail Forever stamps, prepaid Priority Mail Flat Rate products, free Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes and package drop-off.

Sunset Mart moved from El Dorado Hills to Rocklin in 2013 and is owned by Akmal Zadran. “I am excited about partnering with the U.S. Postal Service,” he said. Sunset Mart offers a wide selection of cold drinks, snacks, and now postal supplies. Sunset Mart will offer post office services 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

In 2011, the Postal Service introduced the VPO model as a way to increase access to Postal Service products and services. VPOs are operated by local businesses contracting with the Postal Service to offer Postal Service customers time-saving convenience, and in most cases, longer retail hours than regular Post Offices.
