San Francisco Peninsula Post Offices hold passport fairs

SAN FRANCISCO — For tourists planning international travel, the first stop is at a Post Office Passport Office. To help global explorers prepare for their future travel plans, Post Offices in Palo Alto, Redwood City and San Carlos are holding passport fairs on Saturday, March 19, 2016.

Postal clerks will be on hand to provide passport information and to accept passport applications, with no appointments necessary.

Application forms, information on the costs and how to apply for a passport book and/or passport card can be found at usps.com/passport or travel.state.gov/passport. U.S. citizens also may obtain passport information by phone, in English and Spanish, by calling the National Passport Information Center toll-free at (877) 487-2778.

Once customers have a passport, they'll need a safe way to carry it.
