VAN NUYS, CA — The U.S. Postal Service’s Van Nuys Mega Passport Acceptance Office, located at 15701 Sherman Way in Van Nuys, has returned to regular days and hours of operation following spring peak season.

Van Nuys Mega Passport Acceptance Office hours are Tuesday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is closed on Sunday and Monday. This location does not accept appointments.

Additional services available at the Van Nuys Mega Passport Acceptance Office include passport photos and photocopy service.

It’s best to apply for a passport early, at least several months before a planned trip. Passport processing typically takes four to six weeks. Passports can be expedited for an additional fee of $60, with processing then taking within two to three weeks.

If a passport is needed sooner, applicants should contact the Los Angeles Passport Agency at 877-487-2778. Proof of travel dates will be required.

The U.S. Department of State issued 15.5 million passports and passport cards last year.
