ROSEVILLE — In support of the White House’s Made in Rural America (MIRA) Export and Investment initiative, Roseville Post Office will host a small business educational event on international shipping and mailing. Made in Rural America is intended to bring together federal resources to help rural businesses access new customers and markets abroad and take advantage of international trade assistance.

The MIRA workshop will be held on:

Friday, August 12, 2016  from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the following location:

Roseville Post Office, 1860 Sierra Gardens, Roseville, CA 95661

This cooperative interagency program allows for the USPS to lend our online tools, supplies and international shipping expertise to help rural businesses reach new customers and markets abroad, while supporting economic growth and jobs here in the United States.

Joining postal officials will be George Tastard, Director, U.S. Commercial Service Sacramento; Rob Guthrie, Regional Director, Export-Import Bank of the United States; Josh Eddy, Executive Director, California State Board of Food and Agriculture; Ester Gordillo, International Trade Consultant, Sacramento Regional Center for International Trade Development; Joe McClure, District Director, Sacramento SBA and Jeff Deiss, Northern California Regional Export Finance Manager, US SBA.

The Sacramento postal district is excited to take part in the Made in Rural America initiative and looks forward to showcasing USPS products and services. Shipping options such as International Express and Priority Mail, and Global shipping as a whole, are just a few components of educational information to be shared.

Pursuant to the Made in Rural America Export and Investment initiative, the USPS is working collaboratively with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Commerce to support the importance of small businesses by helping them to grow and expand into new markets.
