BACKGROUNDER: The closure was due to a customer who accidentally drove into the retail lobby and service area of the facility 10 months ago, causing extensive structural damage. During the closure, alternative retail services were available via a mobile retail van and customers were provided other alternate sites and facilities to conduct postal business, including passport services.
Postmaster Beth Dayao and Katrina Rill, District Communications Director for Congresswoman Jackie Speier, will be on hand to thank customers for their enduring patience by expressing their gratitude and welcoming customers back with cake and refreshments.
