SAN MATEO, CA — The U.S. Postal Service will hold a public meeting to deliberate the relocation of retail service from the San Mateo-Foster City Branch Post Office, located at 1050 Shell Blvd., Foster City, CA 94404. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Foster City Community Center, 1000 E. Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City, CA 94404. The meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the Wind Room.
The relocation is necessary because the current lease expires on December 31, 2017 and the landlord has decided not to renew it. The public meeting is part of the process the Postal Service must follow to gather input from the community and local officials on any relocation that will affect retail service.
The Postal Service invites the public to learn more about the proposal from postal officials who will be on hand to discuss all future plans.
Customer input on this proposed relocation is welcome. For 30 days after the public meeting, anyone may submit written comments to the address below for the Postal Service’s consideration prior to its final decision.
