ROHNERT PARK, CA — The aftermath of the worst wildfires ever suffered in California left people without homes, possessions, and jobs. In an effort to help people get back on their feet, the U.S. Postal Service is joining the Rebuild Sonoma County Job Fair, hosted by the Amaturo Sonoma Media Group, on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, specifically to offer job opportunities for those who lost employment.
The Rebuild Sonoma County Job Fair will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Graton Resort & Casino Ballroom, 288 Golf Course Drive, West Rohnert Park, CA 94928.
“We know that many of our customers not only lost their homes and possessions but also their place of employment,” said San Francisco District Manager Noemi Luna. “Businesses were not exempt from the destruction, and we would like to help those who have lost jobs get back on their feet.”
The San Francisco postal district has job opportunities available throughout the Bay Area, such as city carrier assistants, auto technicians, motor vehicle operators, sales & service associates and mail processing clerks. Postal representatives will have a booth to provide information on current job opportunities and tips on how to apply and prepare for applicable exams.

Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Some positions require an exam. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver license and clean DMV 2-year driving history. Citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
