Nearly 3 billion pieces of mail, including greeting cards and packages, are expected to be processed and delivered during the week of December 18-24. Traditionally, what used to be the busiest day of the year has morphed into the “busiest week,” largely driven by an increase in e-commerce growth.
“It’s all about customer service and convenience – especially during our busiest time of year,” said San Francisco District Manager Noemi Luna. “This is the busiest week for the Postal Service, and anything we can do to ease the stress for our customers helps us help them.”
