PINE GROVE, CA — On Thursday, July 19, 2018, Michele Blansett will follow a proud tradition dating back when Benjamin Franklin was the first Postmaster General of the United States when she raises her right hand to take the official oath of office as the new Pine Grove Postmaster.
The 11:00 a.m. ceremony will be held at the Volcano Post Office, 16120 Main Street, Volcano, CA 95689. Post Office Operations Manager Al Valdivia will administer the official oath of office.
Blansett began her U.S. Postal Service career in 1996 as a rural carrier in Davis, CA. In 2017, she began her management career supervising carriers and clerks. She has held management positions in Sloughhouse and Pine Grove, CA.
As Pine Grove Postmaster, Blansett oversees a total of four highway contract and rural delivery routes, with more than 5000 pieces of daily mail volume. In addition, she manages Volcano Post Office, which serves over 1400 daily Post Office Box deliveries. Blansett also manages nine employees.

I am committed to serving the customers of Pine Grove and Volcano in the best way possible. I aim to serve this community by providing them with stellar customer service by means of my expertly trained team of dedicated employees.”
Blansett is married to her husband, Jeremy. They have one daughter, Zoe, 11. Blansett enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, writing, playing the guitar and volunteering at her daughter’s school. She has Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Management and Early Childhood Education. She resides in Rancho Murieta.
