PETALUMA, CA — Looking for a new career? The U.S. Postal Service is looking for city carrier assistants (CCA) to work in San Francisco city offices by offering free hiring workshops.  As a further incentive, applicants who attend the workshops will be provided six months of free vanpooling from Petaluma to San Francisco.

Two hiring workshops will be held at the following location, dates and times:

Saturday, July 14
Sunday July 15

North Bay Processing & Distribution Center
1150 N. McDowell Blvd.
Petaluma, CA 94999

All sessions are from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Postmasters and human resources personnel will discuss the numerous rewards and opportunities of a future career path within the Postal Service. As a city carrier, you’ll be in fast-paced, challenging and rewarding career with wages starting at $16.78.

Applicants will be guided through the online application process at on-site computer stations to submit for positions posted on  www.usps.com/careers. Interviews will also be held on the spot to help expedite applications and process qualified candidates for their next stop towards becoming a proud member of the USPS team.

Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Some positions require an exam. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver’s license and clean DMV two-year driving history. Citizenship or permanent resident status is required. Males will need to bring Selective Service registration numbers. Veterans should bring along DD214s and Veteran Preference documents.
